2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Extremely over-carbonated. Brewery has to fix a few kinks obviously. Flavor was very mild and not exciting. Notes of wheat and little spice. Boring beer mostly because the over-carbonation took away a lot of the taste. Would not buy again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Hazy yellow with a big foamy white head. Aroma of pils and wheat malt, sugar, coriander and citrus peel. Flavor is malt but not too sweet, light tartness, spice and a light alcohol bite. Medium body with active carbonation. Really nice strong wit beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a bright hazy gold with a towering fluffy white head. Adding the last inch of the bottle instantly alters the appearance to a murky deep amber with a lot of uniform particles/yeast at the base of the tulip. The nose is of mildly fruity (citrus-apple) and spicy Belgian yeast, along with an odd, mineral-like hydrogen peroxide note over pale malt. Light to medium bodied with fine effervescent carbonation that leads to a drying mineral finish with a touch of spicy cardboard. The palate more-or-less follows the nose with some additional tart fruitiness improving the blend. The high carbonation and mineral qualities are a bit off-putting for me, but I generally dislike those qualities in all but a few styles. I think I may have kept this bottle in my cellar/fridge longer than its 7% might warrant, but this is an interesting "imperial wit". Itís interesting enough, in fact, that should I find it again, I would likely snag another bottle to see how it tastes while a bit younger.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. brown long neck bottle. From my cellar. Poured out a hazy golden color, with an enormous white meringue head. Plenty of carbonation left in this old gal. Aromas are phenolic, black pepper, slight disinfectant as well.
Flavors are of black pepper, cloves, sourdough bread. Medium mouthfeel, thin body. Finished peppery & clovish. Alcohol sneaks up on you at the end.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells pretty decent. Some spices, Appearance is disappointingly flat. The beer is okay, but seems a bit flat in flavor as well. Some apple cider notes to it, but a tad off all-around.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is heavy cloves and other spices, banana and rich malts. The flavor is quite nice; smooth spices, cloves and nutmeg, orange peel, rich and easygoing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle
When I saw this in the pick six section I decided to gamble. There wasnít much to lose. As it turns out the result was a solid Belgian style strong ale. Mostly what I would expect from an American brewery trying their hand at the style it was nice to "visit" a part of the country that I donít usually sample. Maybe I will see if any more styles are available next time I visit Madison.
Aroma / Appearance - The transparent amber body sparkled below a stark white head. Both of them glowed brightly in the sunlight. Vanilla cream puffs with a dash of lemon glaze provide the sweet and sour aspects. White pepper provides the Belgian contribution. There is not much complexity yet even at only 7% it feels heavy.
Flavor / Palate - Light bodied and fluid the mouthfeel is the opposite of what is advertised. White pepper tickles the tongue and throat. Lemon crisp fades fast before the vanilla cream soda finish. A pleasant hoppiness bites back. Eventually it gets a bit boring but not before I got my moneyís worth. Given my expectations this met them nicely.
