2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. brown long neck bottle. From my cellar. Poured out a hazy golden color, with an enormous white meringue head. Plenty of carbonation left in this old gal. Aromas are phenolic, black pepper, slight disinfectant as well.
Flavors are of black pepper, cloves, sourdough bread. Medium mouthfeel, thin body. Finished peppery & clovish. Alcohol sneaks up on you at the end.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Hazy yellow with a big foamy white head. Aroma of pils and wheat malt, sugar, coriander and citrus peel. Flavor is malt but not too sweet, light tartness, spice and a light alcohol bite. Medium body with active carbonation. Really nice strong wit beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a bright hazy gold with a towering fluffy white head. Adding the last inch of the bottle instantly alters the appearance to a murky deep amber with a lot of uniform particles/yeast at the base of the tulip. The nose is of mildly fruity (citrus-apple) and spicy Belgian yeast, along with an odd, mineral-like hydrogen peroxide note over pale malt. Light to medium bodied with fine effervescent carbonation that leads to a drying mineral finish with a touch of spicy cardboard. The palate more-or-less follows the nose with some additional tart fruitiness improving the blend. The high carbonation and mineral qualities are a bit off-putting for me, but I generally dislike those qualities in all but a few styles. I think I may have kept this bottle in my cellar/fridge longer than its 7% might warrant, but this is an interesting "imperial wit". It’s interesting enough, in fact, that should I find it again, I would likely snag another bottle to see how it tastes while a bit younger.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a light golden amber color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather quickly, leaving a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a grainy and bready smell mixed with a little bit of a yeasty and citrus orange smell. Along with these aromas comes a little bit of a apple and pear smell as well as a hint of grass.
Taste – The taste begins with a mix of a sweeter fruity and caramel nature with some flavors of a more bready taste. The fruity flavors are mostly of a orange flavor, but contain other fruit flavors of peach and apricot as well. As the taste advances more grain comes to the tongue with the bready flavors dwindling ever so slightly. At the same time some grassy and herbal hop flavors come to the tongue along with a light yeasty taste. In the end, with the transitions that occur, one is left with a rather smooth, sweet and flavorful, but mild taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer on the slightly thinner side for a brew of 7 % abv with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style the feel could have used a bit more body, but overall, the feel was alright.
Overall – A rather easy drinking grand cru with an easy drinking style that hides the abv. of 7 % rather well. For the rather modest price for a 6 pack of only ~ $6-7 this is a great flavorful and more robust but affordable and drinkable brew.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells pretty decent. Some spices, Appearance is disappointingly flat. The beer is okay, but seems a bit flat in flavor as well. Some apple cider notes to it, but a tad off all-around.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports a weak dirty white head. The aroma offers up sweet white wine and grapes as well as a faint earthy gravel note and sort of a biscuit sweet maltiness. Hmm. The taste is prickly with carbonation where I get sweet malts, mellowed yeasty spices, thin sweet white wine and then ester fruity grape to cherry to apple. It picks up a biscuit or pilsner like maltiness toward the finish. Interesting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is heavy cloves and other spices, banana and rich malts. The flavor is quite nice; smooth spices, cloves and nutmeg, orange peel, rich and easygoing.
