mixamatt (427), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 22, 2003 Belgian style amber?I thought that was a joke but it really did have that Belgian nutty yeast Aroma and flavor with a little cherry fruityness and mild grapefruit bitterness. My only complait is that it overflowed out of my Duvel glass. beerguy101 (3608), Newark, California, USA Sep 26, 2003 Reddish brown color. Small white head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bitter. For an amber it’s a little sweeter and a little drier than the average. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is bitter. argo0 (6334), Washington DC, USA May 16, 2004 Clear dark copper body topped by a small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, brown sugar, caramel (toffee as it wamrs), spicy biscuit. Taste is mild sweet, caramel (which leans more to toffee as the beer warms), earthy, spicy, biscuit. Finish is spicy earthy. Medium body. Unusual flavors, I fear my descriptions don't adequately describe it, but whatever it is, I like. hotstuff (3060), Indiana, USA Feb 25, 2004 Bottle. This beer formed a small sized off-white head that was creamy and smooth with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was transparent and carbonated with a reddish-brown hue. The nose was malty, lightly spicy hops, and some fruit notes. The flavor was sweet, lightly bitter, malty and a little hoppy. The mouthfeel was fairly smooth with a watery/thin texture. The lacing was fair. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Mar 14, 2006 Pours a nice deep amber color. Aromas of fruit/malt. Flavor has a nice clean taste, mildly hoppy with some nice malty tones.
