jcr (911), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jun 18, 2008 On tap at brewpub in downtown Indianapolis. Thought this was an easy-drinking, flavorful IPA. Light amber body with an off-white, fizzy head that was lasting. Aroma of citrus and toffee — hints of grapefruit, pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The bitterness kicks up a notch in the finish. Medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Very dry.
spikester (482), Salem, Oregon, USA Dec 13, 2008 From The Ram in Salem, Oregon. A growler fill. Pours a clear copper with a one finger off-white head. Good amount of lacing in the top half.
Aroma is floral hops.
Taste is citrus bitter hops with a decided grapefruit-orange flavor. The malts are decidedly in the background but sufficient for the style. Mouthfeel is good, fruity bitter finish. Drinkability is good but no abv to judge how many you could drink. after4ever (2006), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 26, 2008 Draft at the Tacoma Waterfront location. Slightly hazyu reddish copper. Light gray lace. Little bit of carb. Nutty nose, very slight. Creamy medium body. Tangy apricot mid-palate, with a longish citric bittery finish. kyzr (1010), Belgrade, Montana, USA Oct 16, 2008 Red amber pour with off-white head. Roast and citrus on the nose. Flavor has a nice orange zest hit that is followed up by a hint of roasted malt. Medium body with some bite on the end. KUEric (584), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Sep 22, 2008 It wasn’t a world beating IPA, but its better than 16% in my opinion.
It was among the best that Humperdinks had to offer.
I thought there was enough balance, but it was certainly hop-light for an IPA. aplusbreaks (185), , Colorado, USA Aug 9, 2008 Tap at westminster brewpub. A nice red color with some decent aromas. A well balanced easy drinking IPA. Not bad, not great.
