COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

On tap @ C.I. Shenanigans in Spokane. Medium amber, thick head, great retention. Very piney, vegetal hop character, nice malts without being overly sweet or sticky. Tasty.

Draft - Pine and grapefruit. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Tropical fruit and grapefruit with a nice balanced bitterness. Very nice and fruity.

On draft @ Ram. Served up way too cold in an 18oz tumbler. This big red IPA doesn’t really look all that red. It’s kind of a light copper with abundant tan head. The aroma is light but has a nice grapefruit hop punch with much lesser amounts of malt. The flavor has a tasty grapefruit hop bitterness with hints of a floral hop quality. Near midway a sweet pale to lightly roasted maltiness comes out. Not long after the maltiness succumbs to the somewhat bitter grapefruit hop finish. Nice IPA.

On tap at Ram - Wheeling, IL. Poured a clear, lighter orangey-golden with a short cap of white head and some nice lacing. More of a focus on the caramel and grapefruit in the nose than the pine, grapefruit, and lemony hops beneath. Flavor was of sweet caramel with a more assertive well-placed grapefruit and pine bitterness.. candy-like bitter twist at the finish.. tasty. Medium body. Nice transition from sweet, smooth middle to a moderately bitter finish.. felt very good.

"a nice solid ipa. bitter and aromatic. not overly exciting, but nothing bad either. well balanced and dry in the finish with a little citrus and a little spice and biscuit malt."

Had on Draft as Humperdinks Big Red IPA, in dallas .. . Saved this one for last, and it was the best of the lot .. . Pours a light gold tan.. medium foam .. . good dose of bitterness .. quite a light IPA, but still could do the job.. .. . I want to set the record straight. I thought the cop was a prostitute.

Had this on tap at a Ram in Indianapolis, IN, but unfortunately didn’t take good tasting notes besides the numbers.

Draught. Body is light amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I’d personally put this in the APA category, but who cares?

Draft at the Tacoma Waterfront location. Slightly hazyu reddish copper. Light gray lace. Little bit of carb. Nutty nose, very slight. Creamy medium body. Tangy apricot mid-palate, with a longish citric bittery finish.

Draft to taster at Ram in Indy. Looks solid; a transparent burnt orange with eggshell head. Smells solid; nice juicy hops with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells, but maltier. Average on the palate. Solid, but it smells better than it tastes.
