It is designed to attract the beginning micro beer drinker. The addition of Willamette and Cascade hops gives this ale a crisp, clean character that is not challenging to a novice. This beer is enjoyed by experienced micro drinkers because of its character.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2003 I asked for the Maibock and the $@#@$% bartender gave me this! Ugh! Nasty stuff, reminded me of malt liquors. The worst brewpub beer I've ever had. Avoid this one. Big Horn actually makes some decent beers, but this isn't one of them.

Tap at Dallas location. Looks IDENTICAL to their light. Has no distunguishible aroma. Had no distinguishible flavor. Water. Seriously. People always describe Bud Light as watery, but of course you can taste the graininess...but this stuff REALLY IS WATER!! The only thing I could pick up at all was a bit of fizzy maltiness toward the finish.

Sampled draught at Humperdinks, Dallas, Texas.
Pale golden. Sweet and this with a hint of green apples and very low bitterness.

Veryplain. Coy sweetness but little else...maybe a hint of grape? Limp, with a palate like skim milk.

Smooth & creamy maltiness up front; just a hint of honey-like sweetness. Finishes a little dry, very light and slightly watery. Very thin mouthfeel. Half a step up from your run-of-the-mill macro.

They call it Chicago Blonde, in Chicago, but that sells the ladies short. Not much taste to this blonde.

Very weak beer. Crisp to say the least. I had to try really hard to pick out the hops and malts because everything was toned down so much. A bit of skunkiness in the finish...watery crap.

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium yellow, moderate density of small particles. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
