1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 chicagodri (1645) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 25, 2007
Very thin, I thought this was their version of Bud Light. Not good at all. I didn’t think any of their beers had much of an aroma.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 onceblind (1615) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2010
On tap @ C.B. Potts, Greenwood Village, CO. Clear straw yellow hue, minimal white bubbly head. Couldnt smell anything. Tasted like rye, corn, and yeast. Not good. Crisp and refreshing, just lacking good taste. It was basically like Bud Light just with more body.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 jaymobrown (1457) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2006
Thin head. Really nothing to this beer: no taste no smell. The best I could come up with is "It’s wet." Have fun drinking a glass of yellow water.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Reid (1433) - Salem,Oregon, Oregon, USA - JAN 1, 2005
On tap at the pub. Salem ,Oregon.
Its a pretty average looking Blonde ale...Slightly hazy golden colour with a smallish pure white head.
Again the aroma is average, subdued yet pleasant enough..mostly a floral scent with some rough sugar.
Taste is pretty thin..its well carbonated..the usual malt and small hop profile of a Blonde.
Again its ok on the palate..though thin even for the style.
All in all an average beer..but its ok to have something bland now and again
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 OldMrCrow (1420) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 24, 2006
Draft at the Ram in Seattle.
At 2.4 (score, not ABV, though it tastes a bit like the latter as well) this is actually one of the better offerings that they had at the Ram, though thi s obviously isn’t saying much. It pours very light yellow, and totally transparent; the aroma is genetle, and slightly buttery though actually pleasant enough with a nice soft hint of sour grass. The flavor is mildly sweet, a bit grainy, a whisper of pineapple. This one is inoffensive, at least.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 carruthm (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2009
looked a clear watery honey colored with a muted wheat aroma. taste backed both up with a honey wheat flavor.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 AceOfHearts (1375) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 8, 2003
Tap at Dallas location. Looks IDENTICAL to their light. Has no distunguishible aroma. Had no distinguishible flavor. Water. Seriously. People always describe Bud Light as watery, but of course you can taste the graininess...but this stuff REALLY IS WATER!! The only thing I could pick up at all was a bit of fizzy maltiness toward the finish.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 rubbishystuff (1303) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 29, 2011
At the Rosemont location. The pale lager of the ale world. This was quite light and slightly watery. Good as an alternative to macro stuff. Serving; Tap
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gws57 (1231) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2007
Had this one at the brewpub in Schaumburg, Illinois, marketed as "Chicago Blonde." Bright yellow pour with a fluffy white head, light maltiness with a little citrus, balanced and light. The least impressive I tried.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 pinkzambia (1189) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 20, 2005
On Tap at The Ram in Meridian: This pours a clear gold color with sweet aromas and vanilla tastes. The lacing is runny and the body is thin and slightly slimy. It’s not bad. I think it should be a little higher %, c’mon - it’s a golden ale.
