On tap at the Big Horn Brewery in Rosemont, IL. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a thin white head that dissolves to a fine film. Leaves behind a fine lacing. Aroma of light citrus, young barley malt, with a touch of sugar malt. Taste is lightly carbonated, light bodied with a hint of pine hop aftertaste. Finish is clean and crisp.

Really not too bad. Not much aroma. Flavor isn’t bad, a little hops in the finish. Decent overall.

Pours a light golden color with a small white head that falls fast. Lots of fruityness in the nose, kind of appleish. Taste is sweet with a hint of brown sugar and the apple just stays around. Thin mouthfeel but pretty average brew of this style.

Pours a nice golden yellow. Aroma is cotton candy. Flavor starts sweet but finishes out with a nice sour hops tinge. Palate is thin. Overall, a good beer for a hot day.

Rating for Big Horn Chicago Blonde

This one gets a 4 for appearance... RAM has a tendency to over-frost their glasses and, in my case, a giant iceberg detached itself from the bottom of my glass and floated slowly up into the head. It was like watching "Titanic"! Otherwise, it was a medium golden, frost-hazed body under a holding, creamy, 1cm film. Aroma and flavor was nutty & bitter. A sweet middle flavor led the way to light hops for a refreshing finish. Smooth with a touch of crisp.

On tap at RAM Brewery, Schaumburg, IL
