COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

Draft at Humperdinks in Arlington, TX. One of the few drinkable beers of the evening. Clear chestnut color. Caramel aroma. Taste is chocolate and coffee grounds. Nice body.

This was a good one! on tap at brewery in chicago. Smells nutty and alcohol. Tastes nutty, crystal amber, little chocolate malt/specialty grains on tounge. Little willamette hops, spicy and no floral bouquet on tounge. Tastes like a replica of my irish red I brewed in Nov. Almost a typical ESB then an amber..

Tasted on tap at the Fort Collins Horserooth location. Medium to dark yellow/orange appearance. Nutty and amber appearance. Medium bodied flavor with amber malts and fairly strong hints of nuts. Great beer to kick back a six pack of.

On tap @ C.B. & Potts in Greenwood Village, CO. Copper in colour, bubbly off-white head. Smell is predominately malty and nutty. Taste is confusing. Its mainly malty with tones of liqorice, chocolate cream, with a finish that is only a whisper of grassy hops. Very creamy texture. Was not expecting this lack of a hop profile in an "Amber". It’s balanced for an Oktoberfest, and it would probably make more sense under that label. But, that aside, it’s a fine malty brew.

Draft at The Ram in Northgate (Seattle). Lazy watery amber body with thin creaky head. Pretty awful, off-sour malting and watery body. could drink quickly but wouldn’t want to.

Can remember which Ram I had this at. It is a fine amber ale. Not to bad but not to great neither. Serving: Tap

Growler. Pours a medium brown, slightly khaki head with good retention. Very fruity aroma, slight notes of the hops, definitely sweet smelling too. Really mellow flavor, good balance of hops and malt with hops dominating a wee bit, finishes quickly. Medium carbonation, a strange sensation that reminds me of cola, real light body and slightly slick texture.

This is a pretty typical American amber ale, which is the same as saying it’s sort of bland and vaguely malty. The style can be done well but this brownish amber beverage is not an example of that. It is a bit oversweet, medium bodied with mild carbonation. It is pretty much utterly forgettable.
