Duke (117), New York, USA May 24, 2004 Dark amber, some head with decent lacing. Served way too cold. After it warmed some flavor was malty with a light hop finish. Average amber.
after4ever (2006), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 26, 2008 Draft at the Tacoma Waterfront location. Crystal clear dark amber with no head, lace, or carb. Mild nutty nose. Light, somewhat watery body. Leafy, nutty, biscuity mid-palate. Pretty vacant finish. Years ago, I used to be able to drink this beer. KUEric (584), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Sep 22, 2008 I liked this amber. It was pretty good. A nice balance, however slightly muted. Deep dark reddish brown mahogany color with a fluffy head. WabashMan (756), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 3, 2008 I’m surprised how rough people have been on this beer. Sure, it wasn’t the greatest thing ever, but I found it fairly enjoyable...more so than other beers I’ve had from RAM. Flavors are lightly sweet, caramely, and malty. Highly drinkable, and really a perfect crossover beer for the BMC crowd. studke (1), , Oregon, USA does not count Aug 22, 2008 My favorite beer. A great blend that goes down smooth. The alcohol content sneaks up on you, as this beer always seems to give me a buzz faster. CanIHave4Beers (288), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Aug 19, 2008 Aroma with a little bit of hops, some sweet caramel notes as well. Beer pours a clear amber color with some head that goes away; there is not a lot of carbonation going on here. The beer is enjoyable enough, not a ton of hop flavor but really not much sweetness either. The beer presents a good dryness with flavors of caramel and a light roasted grain flavor as well. This drinks fairly easily.
