GABF 2007: Poured a clear chestnut color with an off-white head. Light semi-sweet fruity notes in the aroma with a hint of chocolate. There was a light tartness to the aroma and flavor. The flavor had piney notes with a malt infusion. Lightly bitter with a medium body.

Tap - AHA Rally Elysian Brewing
Had a rish reddish color with a strong Belgian aroma. This was very over powering in the yeats area. It had a strong sweet flavor and once warmed up this was a decent barleywine. Hard to drink on sich s nice warm day needs to be colder.

9/22/07 On draught at Elysian AHA event. Aroma is an odd Belgian yeasty note forward upon pouring, but the esters dissipate quickly to a malt forward note with fairly low hop character. Appearance is amber with a low off white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with an earthy hop balance, but low on the common alcoholic and dark fruit barleywine flavors, still, it’s good drinking. Textures are fairly low. Overall, this is a decent barleywine, but complexity is very low for the style.
