3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jsquire (2484) - St. Marys, USA - FEB 26, 2010
On tap at the Indy Ram. Amber beer with a fluffy, sticky white head. Very little nose of light citrus. Caramel sweetness in the flavor with some red grapefruit and light toast. For a DIPA its pretty tame.

a decent IIPA, a bit bland for a double, but a very tasty beer none the less. Pours a cloudy red to brown, nose and taste are of woody citric hops.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 patrick767 (2836) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 28, 2010
tap at Indy location - It’s hard to sort out the numerous brews from Ram, but as it said it was a double IPA, I think this is the right listing... anyway, it has a citrus hop aroma and a big hop flavor that’s expected from the style. I’m getting a lot of grapefruit flavor. It’s medium to full bodied and has a long, bitter finish. Very enjoyable.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 dm9831 (1515) - Monee, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2005
the aroma was mildly hoppy, poured more golden than i expect in an ipa. the flavor was mildly citrus, and bitter, and faded quickly. perhaps the best i’ve had from ram, but not a top notch brew.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2005
Clear, amber/orange with a slim white film for a head. Served too cold (as usual for RAM), so the aromas were weak until late when citrus and caramel came out with alcohol. Big grapefruit citrus and alcohol up front in flavor over thick, malted sweetness. Good hop presence, but not quite as "over the top" as you want in a double-IPA. Potent, but a bit too "clean".

Cornfield nailed the problem with this otherwise very fine IIPA...the bitterness started out way strong up front, but VERY quickly faded to disappointing levels quickly. Never had that happen before!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUL 31, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2005 ICBG Summer BrewFest: This poured a clear golden body with a frothy white head that lingered but briefly. The strength of IIPA hopping comes through loud and clear in the intense citric, piney nose. The sweet, caramel malt base was evident, but the hops again leapt to the forefront. Oddly, the hop bitterness seemed to fade in the middle, then became a near APA hop level bitterness in the finish. Still, a good drink.
