tap at the cb potts highlands ranch location. after a day of job hunting, i applied at an adult video store, i stop for a beer at this place that is walking distance from my brother’s house. i see this up on the list, and ask, what style is it. i’m told it is a belgian, and sour, i say cool, give me the big mug. this was a decent looking beer, honey colored with a bit of gold and a white head that dissipated fast. the aroma was lime, candy sugar, and indeterminant malt. very thick brew here. i was thinking grand cru here when it hit my tongue. yeah there is a bit of lactic acid sourness here, and i swear i want to say this has kaffir leaf, but i always guess wrong when i guess ingredients. it is a slightly tart sugared beverage that has a nice yeasty tang in the finish. it is good to know this place can make decent beer because i am going to be around here for a bit.

GABF 2006. Called CB & Potts 5th Dimension Tripel. Dirty blond. Small white head. Nose is Belgian yeast, floral notes, fruit, and some sweet malts. Hint of spice as well. Taste is more yeast notes, fruit, dried malts, some candyish notes, and spices. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. More pronounced fruit during the finish as well as grains, yeast and sweet malts. Not a bad triple.

GABF 2006: Hazy yellow color with an off-white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with some sweetness. The flavor was very fruity with some more yeasty notes. Some clovey spice and a sweet finish. Medium bodied.
