3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster at the Schaumburg RAM. Warm, slightly spicy malt nose. More roast to it than the Rabbit Punch I had before this. I think it gets more of the bite in its taste from malt than hops. Server wasn’t sure what style this was, so I was basing my expectations on something lighter than this style. Best match to the restaurant’s BBQ burger.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Somewhat boring beer. Mild baking spices with a little caramel. Ive yet to really find any standout ram beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found at the Schaumburg location. Arrived to the table a dark red-brown color with a modest off-white head. Aroma had a mild spiciness - cinnamon, nutmeg, with a low nutty note, mild caramel sweetness and a good Maris Otter or Munich type of malt toastedness. Flavor has a modest caramel sweetness, mild nutty note, some toasted Maris Otter malt, low grassy hops presence at end with a slightly watered down spice note of cinnamon and nutmeg. Body was a bit on the low side with slow carbonation and a slightly dry texture. Overall not a bad brew but a bit bland for a winter brew as it lacks a lot of the sweetness or body that typically go with a good spiced brew.
