BrideOfFrankenkitty (44), Illinois, USA Apr 9, 2006 Ahh, the smell of floral candle wax, just what you want in a beer. It went well with the pale golden brew that had no carbonation and no head. Especially pleasing was the vanilla (my least favorite candle aroma) flavor. To complete this experience was the very sticky extremely creamy mouthfeel. Yep, not doing this again.
frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Apr 3, 2006 Poured a frost-hazed golden (settling clear) with an off-white head that was quickly a halo. Belgian yeast provides a banana nose, underpinned by dishrag, sweat and light Karo corn syrup. Candi sugar would have been better in moderation, as we find a sugary, sweet, sticky atmosphere that detracts from the yeasty flavors that wish to dominate. Add to the overdone sweetness a mild gut-burn and you have a beer that is quite difficult to drink by the pint. I suggest you try a sample instead.
