3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2005 A cloudy, hazy orange drink with a sudsy off-white head, this has a strong banana aroma, complemented by grassiness, a dab of malt, and some spiciness. Very soft in the mouth, this tastes like banana, cloves, a touch of lemon, and light malts. It’s got a very clean finish and makes for a refreshing drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled on tap at the Humperdinks on Northwest Highway in Dallas.
The beer pours a very hazy, light creamy-yellow with a white head. About what you would expect from a beer of this style. The aroma is bananas and cloves, with the bananas being prominent. The flavor is more of the same with wheat and some other citrus mixed in as well. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Decent, but nothing spectacular.

On tap at the Big Horn Brewery in Rosemont, IL. Pours a cloudy golden white/yellow brew with a fizzy white head that dissolves to a fine film and foamy ring around the glass. Nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana esters, and a touch of citrus. Taste is medium body, yeast taste throughout the tongue, with a slight orange aftertaste. Finish is slightly dry and more orange peel aftertaste. pretty nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This draft brew at the brewery in Indianapolis poured a small head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace. The body was a hazy yellow-white color and it had a banana wheat yeast aroma that was very nice. The mouth feel was smooth tingly and fruity with a banana malt flavor. This was very nice for a Hefe-Weizen made in the USA very true to the style and very good.
