Cable (285), SE, Oklahoma, USA May 10, 2006 Sampled on draft at the Arlington Humperdinks. Pretty much brewed to style with no negative aroma or flavor characteristics. Just too plain to be remarkable. Bold malt profile as one might expect for a maibock. I’d drink it again if I were in Arlington TX and wanting a decent beer.
BillKismet (1518), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 26, 2008 Had at the Northgate brewpub. Bronze-amber color with decent head. Nice graininess in the nose and medium malt. Flavor has a similarly appealing graininess and malt, but with some tannic sourness. Aroma is a bit better than flavor. A bit to tannic, but otherwise this is well balanced and pretty decent. Walt (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 22, 2008 Pour is warm golden with a thin off white head...smell is lightly toasty with some caramel sweetness...taste is very sweet with caramel and grain...chewy and syrupy mouthfeel... thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 2, 2007 This draft brew from the brewery in Chicago poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated golden brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty sweet and dough. The crisp semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and sweet. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 16, 2007 Rather pale in color, kind of a clear golden/amber with a one-finger, white head in this over-iced glass. Temperature-inhibited aromas initially emerge as stale, candy-sweet malts tempered by mild roasts. Nice balance to the flavor, to the point where I can actually tell this is a Maibock... sweet malts leading to a mildly bitter finish. However, this is too overtly sweet, with a noticable alcohol kick.

MI2CA (1115), Noblesville, Indiana, USA May 1, 2007 On tap - Ram Fishers, IN - served in frozen pint filled to the brim - Aroma of toasted caramel and toffee malts. Pours transparent dirty water brown with no head or lacing. Flavor matches aroma with an overall sweetness. Palate is clean and a touch sticky. Not offensive, but boring.
