The Ram in Schaumberg (Chicago) Tap, Seasonal. Pours thick and Dark. Nice Lacy Froth at first. Bold and Roast, chocolate too but coffee hints. A quick slightly bitter finish. The most bold and satisfying of 7 or so I tried there over several weeks. Loved this brew.

From notes. Draft at the shaumburg location. Pours black with a half finger of dark tan head. Loads of cho olate, caramel and coffee. Probably the best beer made by these guys. Quite enjoyable.

On tap at the 2007 GABF: Pours an opaque black with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with some plums and doughy yeast. Starts fairly full and dark caramely malty sweet with a touch of dark chocolate toward the lingering bittersweet, slightly roasted finish. A pretty good imperial stout.
