Big rich malt @ first followed quickly by noble hops & a rich crispness, sour dark fruits. Aroma is standard. Sweet lingering finish.

Light caramel color with thin white head...light aroma, a little malty and hoppy, weak but balanced; maybe a little fruity?...a medicinal bitter taste, with a sour finish...blech...

Mild malt aroma, dark amber color and a thin white head that diminished fairly fast. Very light malt sweetness, with a mellow front, and a strange flavor in the finish that I couldnt identify, but found to be somewhat cloying.

Pours a darker amber color with the expected brewpub amount of head and lacing. Aroma is weak, bland with slight bittering hops shining through. Flavor is lightly malty with a sweet hop touch in the finish. I agree with nuffield, this has a very bland lagerish quality to it without the creamy malts you usually find in an oktoberfest beer.

harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - SEP 24, 2003
This was a very taste beer in my opinion. I enjoyed drinking this. Big flavor, with a strong malty sweetness, with strong cinnamon flavors. A bit of a hop bite ensues at times but is not very present overall. Mostly this one has strong roasted nutty flavors and is slightly bittersweet in the finish. (On tap in Boise, ID.)

Nuffield (4049) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2002
Boring and insipid. A touch of hops in the aroma, a hitn of sweetness, a hint of bitterness...i.e., hints of everything, but it goes nowhere, really. A lager complexion in malty-colored clothing. This speciality brew may vary by location, from what I understand about the organization of this chain and the discretion given to local brewmasters. (on tap at Greenville Ave., Dallas location)
