Soonah (460), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Apr 18, 2008 Poured copper with touches of ruby. A one-finger tall, mostly white head produced decent lacing. The aroma was thin, spicy, floral hops and softer, sweet caramel malts. Hop heavy flavor. Too much dry, spicy hops. Failed to find balance. Average, watery, microbrew mouthfeel. Decent.
holdenn (1103), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 8, 2008 Draft at the Rosemont location. Hazed amber orange color with a beige tiny bubbled head that laces in sheets. The aroma is light and only really becomes noticeable when it approaches fridge temp. Caramels, citrus, red apples and a little hop spice. Foremost caramel and toffee malt flavors that fade into a touch of bubblegum. Grassy slightly spicy hops surface on my tongue and linger long after the beer is gone. Fresh and a pretty decent pale ale. Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 23, 2008 Draft at Indy location. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate malt & sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a light sticky texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. ratman197 (2190), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 18, 2008 On tap @ CB Potts Flatirons poured a cloudy orange with a lasating eggshell head. Aromas of carmel, orange, grapefruit rind, tangerine and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, orange, earthiness and light pine with a smooth moderatly bitter finish. riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 15, 2008 Soft floral and citrus aroma. Golden color. Nice hoppy thirst quencher/session ale with citrus and floral notes and light malt/breadiness.
