Easily their best beer. Was highly recommended to me even before I got to the restaurant.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on tap at the Fort Collins Horserooth location. Dark red/black appearance. Small head. Dark and quite malty flavor with a fairly decent and tasty coffee flavor. One of the best brews here.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap @ C.B. & Potts in Greenwood Village, CO. Dark deep brown with a light tan foamy head. Smell is malty cocoa with hints of coffee. No surprises there. Taste is very typical of the style: medium bodied with nothes of chocolate, subtle coffee, very light carmel. Has a finish that kinda faded out in flavor, somehwat stale tasting there. Not special, kinda weak.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tried at numerous Ram locations. Decent but average porter. Trying to appeal to large audience by being a bit safe. However it does the job well and I can’t say it is bad. Serving: Tap

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is one of the better offering from the Ram brewpub, which is not the same as saying it’s good. It pours w/ a nice ring of head. It’s earthy, slightly smokey, light bodied w/ medium carbonation. Coffee and earthy bitterness balance some sweetness. This is a decently put together beer but nothing really special.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the Indy brewpub. Quite dark and clear with more red that most porters. A nice roasted aroma. Flavor features molasses, chocolate, and licorice. This porter is on the sweet side. An enjoyable porter.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This site says its my 150th rating from Indiana. Pint at RAM Indy for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. Pitch pour, hugely lacing tan head. Has that lovely gentle roast taste, dark but not burnt, with waves upon waves of rich, deep chocolate. Full-bodied with low bitterness. Very nice!
