2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Schaumburg Ram. So, does the local brewer have some latitude in the regular brews? Well, this taster glass was clear yellow, with a thin ring of foam. The smell was a little sweet; corny, perhaps? But the taste was decent. Light blonde malts; again, a bit sweet, but not as much as the nose suggested. Needs more of a German hop note. I found I missed the usual oxidation from bottles of imported Pilsners.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found at the Schaumburg location. Arrived to the table a clear gold color with a tall creamy, white head with a spot on amount of carbonation for a pilsner. Aroma had a mild graininess to it with a mild sweetness to it and a modest Noble hops grassiness and light spiciness. Flavor has a strong sweet grainy note early with some mild apple presence and a solid noble hops presence to finish it out. A light body and modest fizzy texture round out the beer. Overall a pretty good brew with a nice grain presence and an overall light hoppiness.
