Draft at Hood River Hops Fest 2007. A hazy amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by grass. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of grass as well as hops, with a very bitter finish.

Sampled this one on draught at the brewepub in Hood River, OR. This beer pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic, just explodes with big waves, of pungent, zesty, piney and citrus hop aromas. The palate has a good pale and biscuity malt base, paired with excellent hop flavors of grapefruit, lemon, and pine. This beer finishes with more good pale and biscuit malt up front, then ends with a very bitter, very resinous piney hop bite, that hits the back of the throat, and lingers for quite some time. Big Horse really impressed me with their whole line of beer, just being packed with big aromas, and flavors. Hop Slop is a beer that would satisfy any hop head. The aromas, flavors, and bitterness are intense in this beer. This is a great beer to sip and relax with at the bar, and soak in the beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge with. Very impressive.

On tap at brewpub and at Hood River Fresh Hop Festival--Poured a tawny-golden hazed color with a small whtie head. Nose of grand floral hoppiness. Earthy, grassy, FRESH hops coupled by a gentle malt balance. Light in alcohol, and not going for the jugular, this brew finished perfectly with sweet, resinous fruity and piny notes that made me want more instantly!
