Ruby mahogany color, thin head, no lacing. Nose of peat malts, sweet melanoidins and earthy hops. The flavor is smoky and sweet, very caramelly and sweet, balanced mouthfeel, moderate body, very nice smoke. Level, clean, thick and drinkable. Very nice with a hoppy tail.

Tap. Deep ruddy brown with a nice off-white head. Very clear. Good lacing left. Caramel, a touch of smoke generalized medium roasted grains. Medium bodied, quite smooth. Hits the mark with the malt being predominant and just the smallest hints of hop bitterness. LIghtly noticeable smoke, caramel and some chocolate in flavor. Well done.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark amber wtih a smooth white head. Long caramel malt flavor, fruity and woody. Great balance and smooth palate. One of the best beers they were serving.
