On tap at the brewpub. Dark and opaque. Flavor is very over-the-top roasty, and a medium/high body from the oats. The 7.6% is not hidden as well as it could be. Probably fairly high hops for a stout (or it’s all the roast). Meh.

By far, the best beer at the pub. Black, with a thin creamy head. Tremendous smoky peat/burnt malt aroma, Very malty, with coffee and malt dominating. Finishes dry for such a heavy beer.

Tasted a brewery in Hood River--Deep, dark, hoppy, malty, balanced brew. Great, creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Creaminess from oats with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Finished roasty and complex. Yum!

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a small tan head. Milky and smooth, with an earthy dark chocolate taste up front and lingering coffee finish. Very nice stout with a great texture to it.
