Angeloregon (1969), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 7, 2007 Poured a deep opaque black body with a nice looking beige-tan head. Roasted coffee and malt notes. Finished a little soft, but over all quite enjoyable. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 27, 2004 Black, brown outline, no head, some carbonated lace signs. The aroma is full & roasted with some sweet fruit & lots of hops. The flavor is roast, no alcohol, more like a foreign stout than a RIS, no complexity. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 20, 2004 Black with brown edges, no head and webbed lacing. Mocha aromas, chocolate and roasted malts. Coffee and raisin. Flavor is pretty much the same as the nose, but a tad more bitter. Medium body, and a finish of bitter alcohol
Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jun 5, 2004 Black with a thin tan hea. Sweet and almost hoppy. This "imperial stout" tastes like an average American pale ale with some coffee malt added to. iwantalambic (1361), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Apr 6, 2004 Draught: pint! wonderful. What else is better than an imperial stout in a pint glass? An impressive midnight color, dark and opaque. Nice roasted qualities and creaminess on the palate; however, missing any fruity development or vinous qualities. Tasty bitter mocha finish. Not one at the top of the Imperial stout list, but a nice beer no less.
