Draft at brewery: Another tasty Belgian from the Brewhaus. Deep amber hue. Rich malt flavors of caramel, molasses, peat, bread, nuts and toast. Lesser hints of smoke and wood in the background. Warming booziness. Well made stuff, and surprising to see in a small brewpub on the Big Island.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, raisins, and brown sugar. Flavor of raisins, yeast, fig, dates, brown sugar, and caramel.

GABF 2011. Pours clear tawny with a medium, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel and cookie malt, alcohol notes, no hops, raisins and other dark fruits. Flavor is brown sugar, cookie malt, dark fruits, alcohol and a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.
