A Belgian-style strong golden ale with a wondrous range of fruit flavors like plum, apricot, and cherry imparted by special Belgian yeast. Traditionally served in special goblets this style of beer can turn an ordinary lunch into an extraordinary event and a slow Sunday afternoon into a special Golden Sabbath.

Relatively clear orange and light copper coloured body with a faint, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, flowers, yeast, coriander seed and a touch of curacao. Medium-bodied; Slightly malty flavour with some honey, yeast, bread, grain and a bit of a citrus note - not too much going on here, and aside from the sweetness, nothing as for complexity. Aftertaste is sweet - honey and caster sugar with a touch of fruitiness and a light coriander seed freshness. Overall, not too great, but a welcome variance from the IPAs that I’ve been having here in Honolulu. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from ABC Stores (Lewers Street between Kahlia and Helumoa (under an underpass) in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii for US$10,95 on 28-December-2015 sampled a day later in my hotel room here in Waikiki on 29-December-2015.

65 cl bottle. Thanks rosenbergh!
Pours clear copper color with a small head. Sweet honey aroma, apricot notes, some ripe fruit notes also, rose hips and mild hops. Flavor is moderately spicy with honey and toffee, very faint yeast notes and some rose hip again. Quite unique aroma on this one, a bit unbalanced with all the sweetness though.
