(I.P.A). was developed in England around 1800; the extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style has developed a following worldwide. Ours begins with smooth, malty creaminess and a big burst of dry-hop flavor and aroma from a variety of American hops. It finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness. Is it Overboard? You decide.

Orange pour from 22oz bottle in Honolulu. Tons of foamy white head. Juicy Orange fruity happiness. Super fruity. Delicious. Not much hops for an ipa. But defiantly an iPa

Bottle thanks to my lovely wife. Pours a hazy amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is grassy with a little citrus coming off there. Taste is actually quite light and moderately bitter, with a crisp citrus finish that fades into a smooth and slightly toasty beer. Quite enjoyable.

Soft golden amber, slightly hazy. Aroma is softly fruity. Taste is easygoing, soft but still has hops. Fruits, bit of hops, nice fruit salad. Great easydrinking IPA.

Bottle from Top of Waikiki restaurant 251114. This is a big IPA with fresh hop aromas and a big intense flavour. Probably the best Hawaiian beer I have had.

Bottle shared by Allen, thanks! Pours a near clear golden orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bitter citrus with a hint of resin and a bread backbone. Flavor has same bitter citrus with a good amount of grass and a light grain.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (sugar cookie, caramel, bread), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, resin), with notes of peach and dried mango. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Quite nice, if a little out of style...very malty and beefy for an IPA. Lots of tropical fruit notes. Some resin too, but it’s mostly behind the nice fruity aromas so doesn’t really detract much. Good stuff.
