COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(I.P.A). was developed in England around 1800; the extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style has developed a following worldwide. Ours begins with smooth, malty creaminess and a big burst of dry-hop flavor and aroma from a variety of American hops. It finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness. Is it Overboard? You decide.

Slightly hazy, aroma is not all that bright, maybe on the dank side. The taste is mellow, a little hop spicy, but just ok.

A golden IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a wonderful citrus and resinous hops, catnip, very classic. In mouth, a nice smooth biscuit malt with loads of citrusy hops, catnip, pink grapefruit, excellent. At the REAL gastropub, Zwanze day, Dec. 1 2012.

Bottle in our appartment in Maui, from Safeway Lahaina, 25/04/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized off white covering that retains well. Nose is bitter hops, pink grapefruit, citric pithdom, sharp tangerine intake, grassy tones. Taste comprises light mineral vibes, pine, bitter grapefruit, juicy hops, orange pith, sweet malt, light caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Solid IPA - this brewery was probably the find of my trip to the United Rates in terms of never having heard of them and both beers I had were excellent. sank this bomber on my ownsome in double quick time!

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. No notes on the appearance. Piney hop profile, balanced lighter malt structure. Long bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle. Piney, leafy aroma. Good chewy mellow mouthfeel. Tropical grassy and piney hops. Hazy amber, lowish head. Flowery and fruity. Nice

Sampled at GABF 2014. Glad to find this brewery after making a note to myself to make sure to try their stuff. Overboard IPA pours a typical golden body with white head. Nose is soft citrus fruits, light bitterness suggested, faint spice and fruit. Mouthfeel is nice soft citrus fruits, maybe a hint of mango & melon and pine as well. Really solid offering.

Orange pour with creamy off white head and lace. Aroma is citrus and pepper. Caramel malt citrus with a medium good bitter. Medium body with smooth carbonation.

Bottle from a ABC Store, Honolulu, August 2013. Dark golden with a medium head. Fresh hoppy aroma and taste with pine, citrus, caramel and some flowers. Also some malt and biscuits. Rather sweet but nicely drinkable. A pleasant one.

Bottle hand delivered by Duchammer: Poured a copper orange with finger off white head. Aroma is huge citrus/grapefruit hops, very fresh. Awesome harsh hops slap you in the mouth, more citrus/grapefruit, semi balancing malt character towards the back, and drying finish.

Draft at brewery: Tasty and easy-drinking IPA, albeit a tad too sugary for my buds. Sweet malt base had elements of sugar cereal, caramel and honey. Super juicy hops exuded citrus and flowers. Moderate, somewhat drying bitterness. Very sessionable. And I liked this IPA better than the Tropo Lilikoi, which was also on tap.
