Our sun will be a Red Giant in 5 billion years, this beer is a Red Giant now. Brewed with rich, light and dark caramel malts and a full dose of American hops, it finishes with dry hop and toffee flavors.

Red-to-copper in color with nice white head. Aroma is malty with subtle orange/tangerine. Medium mouth feel with good carbonation. Taste is malty sweet with nice piney bittering and orange/tangerine tones.

Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a deep amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is malt, toast and generic caramel flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with ntoes of sweet caramel malt, toast, grain and light spice.

Amber with just a touch of haze. Thin head. Crystal, sweet crackery malt, almost with a bit of molasses. Sweet, crystal, touch of fruity hop. Good balance, dash of alcohol.

On tap at the brewery. Clear amber, not particularly red. Nose has caramel and citrus. Near-perfect marriage of malts and hops. Long after taste and lives up to the name giant.

On draught at Big Island Brewhaus. Maroonish amber color. Aroma is toffee, sweet caramel, dark malt, and tart citrus. Taste is toffee, candi sugar, roasted malt, grapefruit, and lightly tart citrus. Big flavors in the finish, with lingering sweet caramel and lightly bitter hops in the finish.
