First tasted this in the Bon Accord, Glasgow in April 1995. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Floral hops in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a slightly citric note of grapefruit and lime. Floral hop resins impart a bitter aftertaste. Well balanced finish. An ok session bitter.

Amber colour with a thin head, not much aroma, malty taste but not very good.

Quayside, Lloyds No1 Bar, Newcastle. This was a crackin’ pint, good clean amber in colour with a fine bubbled long lasting head. Well hopped with a malty sweetness, but it’s the hops that dominate, and these linger well on the finish.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Festival ’07. Amber with big white head. Dry, fuller bitter with a ric malty body, however there is a slight sourness, graininess in the flavour too. Good old fuggles finish I reckon. A reasonable beer.

An amber coloured "ordinary" bitter. Fresh and crisp with plenty of bitterness and some citric notes. Not hugely complex but just the job for a session bitter. Cask (handpump), Market Porter, February 2005.

Cask at the Market Porter, Borough Market, London. With Chris_o and joet. Amber coloured. Fruity, hoppy aroma if not a little swearty. Floral flavours, fruity hops and a degree of bitterness.
