3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at The White Horse, Banbury, Oxon. Dark chestnut with cream head. There is a pleasant dark roasted malt character to this from the beginning, chocolate flavours with a light toffee note. Full on the palate and quite rich. Very pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at The Bishop’s Mill, Durham (JDW), £1.99/pint.
Not usually my type of beer but I found this one easy to drink with enough subtlety to the chocolate/malt character to keep it interesting.
