COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Jandrain-Jandrenouille for NovaBirra in Braine L’Alleud by Emanuele Corazzini of NovaBirra.

75cl bottle and a very lively one at that. Pours jet black with a foaming tan head. Chocolate and roast malts as expected, some dark fruit and whisky flavours, alcoholic warmth and a dry bitter finish. Great stuff

75cl bottle @ 7th Arch’en Bières 2011, thanks Manu for the share. A nice Belgian stout with an American twist, memories of Manu’s time living in DC.

this black stout is a very good one . Full body, nice taste of dark chocolate and cold coffee with a slightly bitter ending. It’s brewed in Belgium together with an Italian brewer. This kind of beer is one of my favourites.

Bottle. Pours a black, impenetrable beer with a creamy tanned head. Aroma has licorice, chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is very sweet, has some fruity notes, alongside with some raisins. Very nice in balance, great beer.

75cl bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell. This was a good surprise. It pours a deep dark brown colour with a large beige head. Aroma is roasty and chocolatey with a definite tartness. Taste is similarly well balanced between sweet caramel, roasted malts, coffee flavours and the tartness. As it warms up the acidic character comes through and make this a very interesting offering. I didn’t see that coming.
