3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DuffMan (5196) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, - AUG 1, 2012Bottle, shared at the lake. Looks pretty clear and golden in my red Solo cup. Aroma is of grassy hops and biscuity malts. Flavours of clean pale malts, grass, celery. Quite hoppy actually-- nicer than I expected, although more of a golden ale than a true wheat beer.

From a bottle. Pours cloudy golden - looks like a hefe. Flavor is light and wheaty with a slight bitter finish but fairly thin and undeveloped. Standard and unexceptional wheat ale that is more like a hefe than an American wheat (which isn’t a bad thing).

Bottle - not much head, light yellow color, pretty basic wheaty aroma and flavor, mild hops, not much to this one
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ben4321 (3003) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 10, 2012
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/10/12
Aroma: It has a nose of fresh cut grass, bread/yeast, wheat, and some grains
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear yellow-straw color with a small white head and light lace
Flavor: The taste has some light pale malts, light sweetness, bread, and a light grassy hop
Palate: The carbonation dominates the palate up-front, is way too strong here, and completely overpowers the fairly light body. Despite that, it finishes with a nice crispness in the mouth, which I would have liked to reward, but that crispness ultimately could not overcome the carbonation to get the palate above a 2.
Overall Impression:
Decent ale, I get where they were going with it drinking like a Kolsch, I really do. For me, the nose is best component, and it kind of went down hill from there. Overall, it fine, but it is somewhat flawed, particularly that carbonation. It isn’t far off from being solid.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 dmac (3169) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2012
22oz bomber from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a clear gold body with a smaller bright white frothy head. Aroma is basically all vegetables, some notes of wet bread and a hint of skunk. The body has harsh carbonation, a medium mouthfeel and luckily for me a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is more like skunk flavored bread than vegetables but still not desired unless you like skunk bread. Is this really the same brewery that made that damn good India Brown Ale???

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a full white head. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Clean refreshing taste of sweet pale malt, bread and mild hop bitterness. Thirstquenching and, as they say, Kolsch-like.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Frank (2188) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 30, 2011
This is a nice pale colored, cloudy brew that leaves behind an enormous amount of lace after each sip. Grassy and herbal hops are the focal point above a mild wheaty malt character. Full bodied but dry enough to feel light on the palate. Carbonation is mild, adding just a bit of zip to this easy drinking beer. Finishes w/ an earthy hop bitterness to keep things interested. I wish this came in six packs so I could drink all six of them.

Very grainy in aroma. The flavor is very much like the description of being similar to a Kolsch, although a bit more grainy and hoppy. Not a flavor blast, but solid in flavor and easy to drink.

Bomber. Pours clear gold (odd) with thick white head. Aroma is straw--like a pilsner. Flavor is sweet straw. Enjoyable. Very strange wheat; tastes more like a cream ale to me.
