COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A marriage of an American Brown Ale with a hop-centric India Pale Ale. A monster of an ale with robust malt backbone and a mean hop-streak. The beer is brewed with five different varieties of specialty malts, three hop additions during the boil and a generous dose of Citra hops during conditioning to give the beer a lively, distinctive aroma that hits the senses before the first sip is ever taken.

Pours a dark cola-like brown wtih a thin light tan head, the aroma smells delicious with piney and citrus aromas up front followed by some coffee and malt, The taste honestly was a let down for me, the aromas promised so much but the taste is lacking the hops and the malt is pretty subtle. This is basically a good brown ale with a bitter finish.

@ Destin Beer Festival…Pours a nice dark brown with a touch of red. Aromas kind of nutty, with a touch of chocolate. Taste a little chocolate and nut wtih some hoppiness.

16oz can (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 45°. Color is a deep dark mahogany with mellow carbonation and a thin off white head. Aroma is roasted malt and hop spice. Medium bodied with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is roasted malt, nuts and a hint of toffee then hop spice and bitterness. In the after taste the roasted flavors and bitterness leave it with a slightly dry feel. Overall it’s a very well done brew, well balanced and flavorful.

On tap. Served a dark brown color with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma of malt, nut, caramel and a bit of citrus in the background. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, nut and slight citrus. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, smooth, quite creamy with an earthy feel. Enjoyable beer for the style.

Bottle. Gigantic head on the pour, very carbonated brown pour. Aroma of earth, brown malt and a nice citrus note. Nice rich malty and nutty flavor, with some earthy hops in the finish. Citrus notes emerge.

This one is dominated by milk chocolate with a roasted malt backbone. Not hoppy like an iPad so this one is mislabeled. Too much chocolate for my liking. Had at home out of a 16oz can. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Medium brown pour wit a beige head. The head on mine was huge. Something may have been wrong, though no infections were noticeable. Sweet malt, light citrus, light roasted malt, chocolate. A medium body. Light bitterness and a mild roasted finish. Pretty decent IBA.

22 ounce bottle from Binny’s. Chocolate and light malt. Light body. If it was hoppy, no more in a significant way. Decent.
