4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours pale with a big white head. Strong aroma of fresh grassy hops but not too bitter. Dry cereal flavor with a little amber/carmel malt. Light-Medium bodied. A really good example of an American pale ale.

Clear, yellow-gold pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma is a little earthy with some bread. It has a light, smooth body with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a slightly dry finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bomber from Spirits Middletown. Poured a thinner bodied deep honey orange/brown with a smaller to average sized off white foamy long lasting head. Aroma is sweet to start off, notes of honey, grapes, raisin, toast, well done roasted cereal grains and some older citrus fruit rinds that are dried out. Thinner watery mouthfeel with average carbonation and a lingering aftertaste. Favor is basically the same as the aroma, starts off with a honey sweetness that quickly turns to lots of malts, cereal, toast and biscuit followed with some citrus rinds. Meh

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Still more notes from the 2011 MWBF. The bit from a bottle, so it’s kind of a cloudy, hazy yellow with a little bit of foam. Nice citrus hop to it. Drinks very nicely with good APA malts and hop backup. Yet another APA that is working its magic with me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a decent pale ale. Light appearance, medium body, with slightly floral and grassy aroma and a musty aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - small foamy head, dark gold color, pleasently fair hop aroma and flavor, balanced well with some sweet malt - nothing extrodinary or different here, but a pretty solid pale ale overall

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to my bad-ass summer Secret Santa for the bomber! Hazy gold pour with a medium carbonation and a fine silky head. Bitter, tea-like nose initially but then opens up into modest floral notes. Well balanced flavors, with a solid malty base and the bitterness is complemented by some bright fruits the further in you get. Solid.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/18/12
Aroma: The nose has grassy hops, citrus/orange, a little bit of grain, and some rather light spice notes
Appearance: This one pours a mostly clear orangish-gold color with a small head and some spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, with a malty profile, and some light-medium hop bitterness as well
Palate: The body is medium, it has a semi-smooth feel, some mild stickiness, and a lightly dry finish
This is my first rating from Big Muddy, I’ll assume they just got distribution to NJ, since they just showed up in Buy Rite, and most of their beers have only a small number of ratings, including this one, which only has 20. Anyway, even though this wasn’t a favorite APA for me, I still found much of it enjoyable. I’m curious to see what the rest of the beers I purchased from Muddy are like...

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 5, 2012 Slightly hazy golden with a more than fair white head. Aroma is pale malt and grass. Taste is sweet pale malt and a little hop bitterness. That’s it. Plain and simple and well balanced. Very good pale ale!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"Bottle (thanks to Funkybrewster). Pours golden with a small white froth. Aroma is lightly citric, a touch cheesy to me, some grain and straw notes, a little grassy. Flavor starts citric and sweet, some caramel and bready sweetness, floral hops, getting more grainy towards the finish, which is simple, a slight citric hop presence and mild bitterness. Medium body and a sharp carbonation." said funkybrewster and I agree with him, I remember it being a darker golden and biscuity sweet, drinkable but not fresh.
