Brewed using real pumpkins and savory pumpkin pie spices giving hints of natural cinnamon and nutmeg. American hops balanced with Pale, Aromatic & Caramel malts create a full-bodied taste and exceptional flavor.

Pumpkin pie aroma. It pours a rich amber color. It has a nice blend of sweet pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Those flavors are blended with a rich malt flavor. Love drinking this when it comes out!

Amber beer out of the bottle with a foamy off white head. Big pie spice nose. White sugar sweetness with lots of nutmeg, cinnamon and a bit of ginger. Tasty and typical pumpkin beer.

On tap. Served a cloudy dirty copper color with a foamy head. Aroma of pumpkin pie with bit of cinnamon and spice. Taste of pumpkin and spice with bit of malt in the background. Mild bitterness and a lingering finish. Moderate body, smooth with a nice seasonal feel. Nice beer for the style without going over the top.

12oz bottle from Spirits Lakewood. Poured an orange-amber murk body under a smaller off white foamy head. Aroma/flavor is soapy to start, pumpkin pulp, vanilla, cinnamon, orange juice. Flavor is minus the oj plus all-spice and nutmeg. Medium-full body with average carbonation and a lingering aftertaste.

DATE TASTED: September 25, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Sam Adams lager.. OCCASION: Shark Tank Season seven begins!... APPEARANCE: light, soft orange-colored body that is hazy; a creamy white head that matches the creamsicle theme; head retention is great; ... AROMA: nutmeg, apple, pumpkin, and toasted bread make for an appealing aroma; gingerbread and cinnamon are also present; some alcohol late... PALATE: initially, creamy at the froth; thin, slightly bubbly at the throat, reminiscent of ginger ale...reasonably easy-drinking... TASTE: the aroma is indicative of Big Muddy’s offering--pumpkin, nutmeg, apple, cinnamon, with caramel, gingerbread and soft, floral hops...a veritable garden of flavors that leaves a soft, tangible aftertaste... OVERALL: a spice beer that flirts between an ale and a lager--I lean towards a lager in the mouthfeel and strength...the beer is Autumnal, no doubt, and packages the better flavors of the season in a palatable way...

Cloudy, orange-brown pour with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma is a mixture of pumpkin pie and snickerdoodle cookies with cinnamon. It has a medium body with slick texture and average carbonation. The taste is moderately sweet with a long finish.

Pretty good pumpkin ale! Plenty of caramel, pumpkin flavor and not too much sweetness. Not artificial tasting with plenty of body to hold it all together. Good choice amongst a sea of otherwise nasty pumpkin ale attempts by other breweries.

From a trade. Thanks Doran. It poured pumpkin colored with an off-white head. Nose of of pumpkin and nutmeg/cinnamon. Medium body. The flavor is just like a liquid pumpkin pie which is good. Very nice drinking and well executed for the style.

Bottle from Binny’s in Bloomingdale, IL. Not the most attractive pour - murky deep orange with a small soapy white head. I could smell this one as soon as I poured it into the glass, though. Cinnamon, nutmeg - smells just like pumpkin pie. Palate has a little density to it. Pretty solid drinker.

Sample at Kurtkeller 017: Pumpkin-tastic 02 on 10/13/2014. Cloudy amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, roast malt and caramel. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt and pumpkin spices. The finish is sweet with a malt and nutmeg aftertaste. Decent overall.
