Minty, soapy, grassy and citrus notes to the hop forward aroma. Hazy browned copper body is topped by a low white fully diminishing head. Under attenuated and very sweet with cereal and toasty malts. Nicely balanced bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. Cask not quite ready perhaps? Sampled on cask at Dix Mardi Gras 2007.

Golden-amber, some haze. Bizarre aroma - what are those phenols? I get some plastic, then some smoke...thankfully this dissipates a bit but it does remain until the end. There is also cinnamon, and a nice toasty, marmaladey character. The carbo is quite low, but fine for a cask bitter. So yes, a toasty malt accent with soft caramel and marmaladey hops. Finishes fairly sweet and the palate is uniform throughout. Nice, refreshingly bitter, good balance.
