On tap at Alibi’s 300. Pours solid black with an off white head. Aroma is mainly espresso, roasted malts, and some caramel. Flavour also has some chocolate and roasted chestnuts in the aftertaste as well as qualities listed above. Full bodied, dark and roasty. Nice.

A deep dark stout with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate and cardamom, powdery and smooth. In mouth, a nice smooth chocolate with light licorice, coffee grinds, dark fruits, very nice, light alcohol warmth. On tap at Alibi Room, March 22, 2012.

2012-01-16, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7-4-8-5-16=40 Black color, with brownish head. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Good body structure, and round mouthfeel; very good chocolate flavor, with some roasted malts, cookies, cream, spices; pleasant, moderate sweetness; strong final, but balanced with the rest. Very good.
2912-01-11, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7-4-8-4-16=39 Black color; brownish creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt and cardboard. Good body strenght, and smooth mouthfeel; good flavor of roasted malts and some chocolate; milky or creamy impression; there is some residual sweetness. Basic Imperial Stout, straightforward, yet quite good.

Black. Lots of chocolatey, fruity aroma with rich coffee roastiness as well. Full-bodied, burly roastiness, coffee, light stinging richness with underlying dark fruit. it hits all the right impy notes with style and balance. Good impy, for those who still want nuance and balance in this style.

On tap at The Alibi Room for their 300th Beer Menu, pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma of heavy roasted malt, lots of espresso and light sweetened chocolate. Flavour of espresso beans, vanilla, roasted malt and light chocolate. Finishes on a roasty, slightly bitter note. Medium body - full roasty palate. Very enjoyable.
