Cloudy yellow pour. The nose is pretty fruity and a little bit bananaish. Some petrol notes and a touch of sulfur. Okay

[Cask at beerbistro] Dry-hopped version. Pours a murky orange-peach colour along with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma is hempy, citrusy and fruity along with wheat and spices -- it’s a bit weird. Watery flavour follows. Average bodied. Just O.K.

Poured a clear yellowish gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of banana and cloves with some bubblegum. Taste was much of the same all in balance and easy to drink. Nice easy drinking German hefe!

On tap at the Loose Moose. Pours a cloudy pale golden yeloow with decent-sized white head. Aroma is banana, apple, wheat and light clove. Flavour also big on banana and other fruity esters, some wheat malt and solid clove. Average body and carbonation. Decent.

On tap at the Ottawa Brewery Market.

Appearance: Pours a dense hazy yellow with a good finger or so of thick white head.

Aroma: Floral aromas, yeast, bit of malt and hops.

Flavours: Flower, yeast and some mandarin orange.

Mouthfeel: Moderately thick with lots of carbonation.

Overall: Not a bad Hefeweizen. It’s not my favourite in this style but is quite drinkable. The mandarin orange is noticeable most prominently in the after taste.

650 mL bottle. Pours pale, barely straw and hazed, a thin cap of white. Big yeast on the nose, apple, lemon, banana, clove. Thick with wheaty texture yet easy drinking, light bodied, verging on thin, and above average carbonation. Mild grainy sweetness and a hint of tart. My favorite from them thus far.

2014-01-18. Hazy dark yellow body with a small creamy white head that fades. Aroma is sweet and estery. Flavour is similarly sweet and estery with mild cereals, wheat and pale malt. Average plus bodied palate, carbonation. Okay. Draft sampler at the brewpub, Ottawa

tap on the premises. hazy almost cloudy pale golden pour with a small white cap, poor retention and lacing. clovey, bananas, lightly toasted wheat with a touch of acidity, honeyed peppery and spicy malts, sweetish fruitiness - berries, touch of dirt, minerals and chalk, umami-ish hint, herbs and grass. moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry grassy-herbal finish. decently crafted hefe.
