Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 23, 2006 (On tap) Pale amber with an off-white head. Very discreet aroma with a wee whiff of caramel. Very light-bodied, vaguely caramelish with a distinct hopping from the Liberty hops that also leave some bitterness. Refreshing all right. 290306 BeerandBlues2 (2630), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Dec 29, 2005 Draught in Nashville. Pours golden straw to amber with a bubbly edgy white head. Malt and yeast, honey, citrus hop aroma. Hoppy lightly bitter, acidic malt and yeast with an acidic aftertaste. Light bodied and refreshing. Dogbrick (2358), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 27, 2003 Part of a sampler: Pours a hazy light amber color with a medium off-white head. Sweet honey and malt aroma. Well-rounded if a little on the sweet side. Sweet flavor dominates (honey and malt again) with a slight hops counterbalance. Finish is long and sweet. A simple beer really, but I have had much worse. Vac (2274), San Diego, California, USA Jun 18, 2005 Pours with a golden body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a slight bitterness and slight bready notes. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Mar 18, 2002 Has honey as a flavorer, and I just don’t like honey in beers. This brew is too sweet, then gets a bit skunky. Oddly dark for a golden ale. Would be somewhat refreshing on a hot day, but I had it inside on a rainy March Nashville day.
