2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, - AUG 4, 2008
Draught at the brewpub Muddy blond color. It has a breadish and spicy aroma; later some banana too. The flavor shows light cereals, bread, cookies, spices and banana; sweeter in the front and drier later. Quite good bitterness level for a Weizen. Imprecise, as Hefeweizen, but pleasant.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 25, 2009
On draught at the Big River Brewpub south of Vancouver, BC. Pours a hazy golden blonde brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt with wheat, some light banana esters, yeast and a touch of sugar bread. Taste is light bodied, with some flavors of light banana, wheat malt a hint of butter and some pear. Finish is slightly dry with a mild bitterness. An unique Hefe from all the other ones I’ve tried.
