Draught at the brewpub
Blond color. Light malt aroma, and quite good malt flavor, unexpected; dryish mouthfeel. Correct bitterness. Pleasant.

Nice amber colour, but no aroma at first. Even well down into the glass, I could not detect any sort of nose. Taste was also somewhat strange at first - maybe a bit "green"? It got better towards the end. I do prefer this on tap versus bottled.

One of my least favourite Big River brews. Much too watery, and though malty, really indistinctive. Boring and watery.

Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a small, flimsy, white head. The nose is of warm mash, peppery hops and pale malt with a touch of acetaldehyde. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The pale grain and honey flavor leans slightly toward the sweet side of balance. Finishes crisp and thin.

On draught at the Big River Brewpub south of Vancouver, BC. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of crystal grain malt, some grassy hops a touch of apple and very light citrus. Taste is light bodied, some biscuit malt flavor with a hint of grassy hops and apple. Finish is slightly sweet at first and then a dry light bitterness in the aftertaste.

A good, hoppy pilsner. Pilsners are uncommon in Vancouver brewpubs so kudos for the effort! Wish more local brewpubs would make lagers and pilsners, as we are really sick of boring Pales and Nut Browns.

Clear gold colour with thin white head. No disernable nose. Tangy mild biscuit taste with lingering spicy finish.

Looked good, nice head. Very lightly hopped. No floral aroma. Medium body. Needs more bitterness.

Pale golden colour. Very thin malty aroma. Flavour is pretty bland, light grassy hops. Pretty standard BC pale lager.
