Pale Barley malt ripened by prairie sunshine then carefully brewed along with rich Caramelized Wheat Malt, this 5% lager will fill your glass with golden amber hues and a toasty malt character that is reminiscent of fall harvest and the turning of th seasons.

341ml bottle pours a light amber color with a finger of white head that settles quite quickly leaving some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild caramel and a hint of spice. Taste is a big caramel malty sweetness with a little bit of spice and a light hop bitterness. Nothing really special here, only slightly better than a typical macro lager.

Gift from wife’s school for playing Santa. Beats cookies! Golden copper. Light scent. Flavour is light caramel. Clean easy drinking but not raising the bar.

341ml brown bottle. Orange pour, thin white head. Wheaty nose, a little toasty. Taste is wheaty, toasty, cereal. Dry finish, lightish body with regular carbonation. Plain tasting.

DuffMan (6164) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012
Bottle. Bright medium golden, average white crown. Grainy aroma and palate, sweetish, low bitterness. Not sure what the goal was here, but the result was a bland, albeit well made, lager.

Lagerboy (1071) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2013
Clear amber orange, off white head fades fast. Mild sweet malty aroma. Odd fruity caramel malt taste, faint bitterness, wheaty and bready. Softly carbed, light bodied, low hopped. Not that good. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

sulawang (544) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2013
pours clear copper-amber with almost no head, very thin retention, bits of lacing, a few countable slow streams. Sweet light caramel malts on the nose. Attack: 5/10-sweetness, notes of bread/yeast Mid-palate: malt, coriander, light caramel Finish: thin-bodied, watery mouthfeel, very light lingering bitterness, flat finish. Quite average. Don’t love it, don’t hate it, but won’t drink it again.

gramity (1301) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2012
Clear amber with a bit darker tint than your standard lager. Aroma was a touch sweet with caramel malts and a bit of bread. Taste was quite sweet from the malts with a bit of bitterness. If not for that bitterness this rating would be very different. Don’t misunderstand me, it is understated but kept this beer from being macro swill.

Pours a clear amber, an easy drinking beer but not great. Very sweet malt.

I really don’t know what Big Rock was aiming for with this - but I don’t think they hit the mark, whatever it was. There’s a bit of spice on the nose, but also a cloying sweetness. Not good.

Reimer96 (1066) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 11, 2013
Pours a clear golden with a small white ring. Aroma of wheat & pale malts. Taste of wheat and biscuit. Taste like a more flavorful grasshopper but a bit too thin.
