COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed by monks in Belgium, this beer is fermented for a second time with a dose of candy sugar to give it a dense head and a high carbonation.

Served in a pint glass with an orange and golden hue. Very sweet aroma turns out to be a bubble gum taste. Didn’t detect much alcohol until the end when you feel the punch. Sweet but still goes with the food well.

MBGSF ’10. Sweet estery nose with lots of golden fruits. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, with lots of apricot, some peach and pears, a bit of cotton candy and honey.

7-22-06 MBG. Copper with white film for head. Aroma has tons of candi sugar, some nice floral and spicy/herbal notes. Flavor on par, candi sugar dominates, floral character come through a tad near the finish. Doesn’t have that drying alcoholic bite most tripels have, but I would take this over other examples any day. Well done.

This draft brew from a festival poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated dark orange colored body. The aroma was sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish mild vinous aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of smooth malt sweet mildly vinous and mild caramel. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Draft. Ivory head with sparse lacing, transparent, no visible carbonation, and a gold hue with some orange peeking through. Sweet malt and alcohol nose and ditto for the flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and light-medium body.
