Enjoyed at an all barley wine tasting at Travisís house on February 21. This was shared by Ryan Meray from an unlabeled 12 oz bottle. He said this was from 2012. The pour is a lighter golden orange with a thin egg shell colored ring of head and not any lace. The aroma is a little oxidized with a tough of leather or tobacco joining the fruits that are there with a nice booziness. There are definitely some citrus tones here, with a little spiciness, presumably from the wheat. The flavor is pretty much on par with this. There is a little more booze perhaps, The fruits take hold, almost tropical and citrusy, with a nice spicy trend that isnít bad at all. The alcohol definitely moves through on the back end to domination. The mouth feel is thick and viscous, maybe a touch syrupy. The carbonation is light and soft, helping it cling. The aftertaste is lingeringly fruity and boozy. This is a unique brew, and pretty good to boot.

Bottle @ home via trade with FlandersNed. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium-large, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is cinnamon, honey and cookie malt, spicy wheat, lightly sour and earthy yeast with peach esters. Flavor is spicy and peppery alcohol, phenols, sweet malt, cinnamon, fruity esters and a sweet finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.

12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Gusher! Aroma is a solid, clean, fresh pineapple Brett. Very nice, but obviously, a bit out of place. Flavors are great. Clean, rich, slightly sweet wheaty lemon, citrus oil, grapefruit, coconut, guava, and lime. A whole range of fruit-expressive wheat malt tones. I think the - Iím assuming unintentional Brett - has dried out what may have otherwise been a punishingly sweet big beer. The dextrins that are left give a great structure to support the tropical fruit flavors and play off of Brettís cottony, slightly bitter dryness. An accidental, delicious hot mess.

Bottle. Burnt orange pour. Fruity aromas. The taste was sweet and refreshing with a wacky fruity quality to it.

Dark golden, white head, tiny carb bubbles. Cotton candy, candied fruits, not much else. Flavor is very hot, dominated by alcohol, sticky sweet in the finish. Thick viscous palate and mothfeel.

Bottle pours orange with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy showing notes of cinnamon, apple cider, candi sugar, and bubblegum. Flavor shows pretty much the same. Very strange.

On draught at Big Rock Chophouse, 5/9/10

Coppery, medium head, moderate lacing, amazingly hidden ABV. Awesome aroma bursting with raisiny, grape, and bread components. Fuller mouthfeel, great carbonation, fruity finish. Clean, crisp, refreshing, completely awesome. Cannot believe how good this beer is.

Reddish pour, gushing off white head. Aroma of champagne yeast, apple cider, wet toothpick...flavor is overcarbonated, yeast, rainer cherries, apple juice. Not really so great.

Lightly hazy brown amber color with a large off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, wood, dark fruits, some citrus, and alcohol. Taste of caramel malts, some roast, wood, toffee, dark fruits, and alcohol in the finish. Thanks to Josh for sharing!
