Picked up a growler and drank it over a couple of days. Not sure if because I had this beer from a growler but it had no head and little carbonation. Not a hop bomb ipa. Subtle shades of grapefruit and pines. Has a buttery mouth feel.

Backlogged rating: Golden hue with a frothy head. The aroma is very resiny and piney with some pepper, clove, grapefruit and mango esters. Caramel, biscuit, toffee malt vapours. The taste is twangy and fruity with a bitter and spicy note. Good malt support for balance. Dryish finish with some metallic notes. The mouth feel is aggressive and biting. Really solid brew all told.

Cloudy amber beer, big white head. Light crisp palate. Sweet pine. Mild minerals. A little creamy malt. Minty coolness from the hops. Aniseed and a whisper of violets and lavender. Mild bitterness in the finish. Light and crisp for a DIPA and hugely drinkable.

Dark amber ( [:37] [:37] [:37] ) with almost no head. Foam starts to creep up as I pour, THICK. Aroma is malt forward with some cantaloupe and floral hops. Malt tries to dominate the flavor, but I’m loving that sweet cantaloupe and a bit of bubblegum and citrus. Boozy, lax carbonation, little bitterness, mildly sweet. I though I’d dislike this but I don’t more like a well made barley wine but still interesting even though I’ve lost touch with that style.

Growler trade with mikem409. Thanks man. This is a very big beer. poures a beautiful amber color with no head and little carbination. Maybe due to when it was actually poured, but either way this is great. Nice pine and citrus taste. Malt and caramel are also there. Roasty aftertaste . Alcohol is present as it warms. Reminds me of Dales Gordon. Thanks Mike

Sampled at GABF 2011 (listed as Raggedy Ass DIPA). Yellowish-orange pour. Very dank aroma of pine and grapefruit. Very nice bitter grapefruit flavor. Not well balanced but no complaints from me. A hop lovers dream. Very well done.

sampled at last summer’s Michigan Brewer’s Fest - Copper pour with an off-white head. The aroma is of big grapefruit accented hops. The flavor is very bitter as expected with enjoyable citrus notes and good malt backing. It has the characteristic long bitter finish. Crisp and tasty. Well done.

On draught at Big Rock Chophouse, 5/9/10

Deep copper, foamy lacing, caramel, grassy, citrus, grapefruity nose. Medium mouthfeel, slick, complex character. Goes down like buttah, incredibly drinkable despite the 9%+ ABV and hoppiness. Not as much bitter as you’d expect given the level of hoppy intensity.

22oz Bottle labeled "Big Rock Chop House & Brewery, Bonnie’s Raggedy-Ass Imperial IPA, 48 Imperial India Pale Ale, 2010 Great American Beer Festival" Light gold color with small off-white head and light lacing. Aroma is very floral and perfumey. Flavor is good, strong grapefruit bitterness and nice citric fruity flavors. Good overall
