Cloudy amber beer, big white head. Light crisp palate. Sweet pine. Mild minerals. A little creamy malt. Minty coolness from the hops. Aniseed and a whisper of violets and lavender. Mild bitterness in the finish. Light and crisp for a DIPA and hugely drinkable.

RBSG 2010. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earth, sour citrus hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

Draft… RBSG/MBGSF… Clear amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet is a symphony of tropical, citrus and fuzzy fruits. Full-bodied and velvety with tingly carbonation. The big flavor leans on the bitter side of balance, but has a substantial malt backbone. In line with the aroma, there is an abundance of tropical and fuzzy fruit bitterness. Moderately bitter, tongue-numbing finish.

Bottle thanks to Sean. Poured amber with an orange hue and a medium white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Aroma has a strong hop note of pine with a slight sweet grain undertone. Flavor is similar with a strong hop note of pine with a slight sweet grainy undertone.

Awesome handbottle thanks to Ben. Pours a dark amber color with a medium white head. A huge fruity nose, tropical and sweet smelling. A rich flavor of explosive tropical fruits, light bitterness. Really nice.

Backlogged rating: Golden hue with a frothy head. The aroma is very resiny and piney with some pepper, clove, grapefruit and mango esters. Caramel, biscuit, toffee malt vapours. The taste is twangy and fruity with a bitter and spicy note. Good malt support for balance. Dryish finish with some metallic notes. The mouth feel is aggressive and biting. Really solid brew all told.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and light caramel. It pours a dark cloudy orange with lots of sediment and a small white head. The flavor starts with mango and peach. The finish has light-moderate lemon and grapefruit. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation and mouthfeel.

Nice nose of tropical fruit - pineapple, mango, grapefruit, apricots. Malt notes of caramel and light brown sugar as well. Pours darker then most for the style, dark amber/coper, nice lasting head and lace. Sweet and fruity, caramel, brown sugar, tropical fruity hops, pineapple, mango, apricot with medium bitterness in the finish. Good body, smooth drinking well done IIPA.
