Bottle thanks to Sean. Poured amber with an orange hue and a medium white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Aroma has a strong hop note of pine with a slight sweet grain undertone. Flavor is similar with a strong hop note of pine with a slight sweet grainy undertone.

Sampled at GABF 2011 (listed as Raggedy Ass DIPA). Yellowish-orange pour. Very dank aroma of pine and grapefruit. Very nice bitter grapefruit flavor. Not well balanced but no complaints from me. A hop lovers dream. Very well done.

sampled at last summer’s Michigan Brewer’s Fest - Copper pour with an off-white head. The aroma is of big grapefruit accented hops. The flavor is very bitter as expected with enjoyable citrus notes and good malt backing. It has the characteristic long bitter finish. Crisp and tasty. Well done.

On draught at Big Rock Chophouse, 5/9/10

Deep copper, foamy lacing, caramel, grassy, citrus, grapefruity nose. Medium mouthfeel, slick, complex character. Goes down like buttah, incredibly drinkable despite the 9%+ ABV and hoppiness. Not as much bitter as you’d expect given the level of hoppy intensity.

22oz Bottle labeled "Big Rock Chop House & Brewery, Bonnie’s Raggedy-Ass Imperial IPA, 48 Imperial India Pale Ale, 2010 Great American Beer Festival" Light gold color with small off-white head and light lacing. Aroma is very floral and perfumey. Flavor is good, strong grapefruit bitterness and nice citric fruity flavors. Good overall

Draft at RBSG 10, keg donation. Pours an attractive clear bronze with sticky head. Nose is full of resin & grapefruit. Some earth and bread as well. Nice and full bitterness. Citrus and bread. Quality IIPA.

GABF 2010, VG DIPA. preferred this to its neighbor @ GABF Bells the oracle. Big bitterness balanced nicely with rich maltiness. Big bitter flavor. seek this out

hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2010
Draft… RBSG/MBGSF… Clear amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet is a symphony of tropical, citrus and fuzzy fruits. Full-bodied and velvety with tingly carbonation. The big flavor leans on the bitter side of balance, but has a substantial malt backbone. In line with the aroma, there is an abundance of tropical and fuzzy fruit bitterness. Moderately bitter, tongue-numbing finish.

RBSG 2010. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earth, sour citrus hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

12 oz. bottle; thanks to deyholla for the trade; dark copper with trace white head; nose of tropical fruits, mango and a touch of butter; a little garlic too that has been popping up so much lately to me in IPA’s/DIPA’s; raw, sticky, stale oranges; very dry and resiny bitterness; dry, stale lemons and orangy hops; pretty damn good overall

Small tasting/gathering last night of Seattle Beer Week 2010
Thanks Ben – Dark Amber in color thin head with a great nose tons of hops and good malt backing. The flavor was fruity with a hint of bittering from the hops. This was a tasty IPA.
